Obama says he will not give up on taxing the upper 2% of the wealthy at a higher rate and he stands firm on that. He also wants an open check book.. still and again.. we need to just go over that fiscal cliff and deal with what we have done in the past and not leave this mess to our children and grandchildren. Use the power of the purse strings. Send the Ryan budget or a later revision with no rate increases to the Senate. Then declare that with no budget, there will be no continuing resolution and no debt ceiling increase. The GOP will get the inital blame from the MSM but, in the long run, it's Obama's economy. Historians will blame O for not being willing, or knowing how, to negotiate. O will be blamed for trying to kick the GOP when it was down, (or so he thought). The GOP house is the nation's last hope against the progressives. If the GOP fails it will become as the Whigs of history. The only question then will be: what is the name of the new constitutional conservative party. (The Liberty Party, The Freedom Party, ...)
