Washington, DC Staff

Patrick McCarty, Chief of Staff

Patrick retired in 2006 as executive director of the UAW Michigan CAP. Patrick worked for his wife, Dr. Rhonda Hennessy, as office manager at Holly Family Dental until he joined the Curson for Congress campaign. He and his wife reside in Linden, MI with their two dogs Eddie and Sarah Catherine.

 

Jennifer Daehn, Legislative Director

Jennifer was born in Rochester, NY. She holds degrees from Tulane Law School (New Orleans) and Yale. She has lived in Washington, DC and worked on legislative issues since 2004.

 

Michael Daniels, Communications Director

Michael grew up in Cleveland, OH. He graduated with a degree in political science and Spanish from the University of Michigan and received his law degree from Case Western Reserve University. Michael has lived in Washington for the last four years working in Congress and on several campaigns.

 

Jaime Garvey, Administrative Assistant

Jaime is a native Texan, currently studying international relations at American University and seeks to extend her studies by working on Capitol Hill. With a background of political campaigns and Hill experience, Jaime is proud to assist Congressman Curson.

 

Brian Walsh, Scheduler

Brian is a California native and veteran of Capitol Hill.

 

 

District Staff

Sommer Foster, Constituent Services Representative

Sommer is from Canton Township, MI. She currently serves as a trustee on the Canton Township Library Board.

 

Mark Harden, Constituent Services Representative

Mark attended Belleville High School and worked at Ford Motor Company for 31 years. He is married to Vicky and together they have 4 children and 11 grandchildren. He retired from Ford in 2009.

 

Kevin Hrit, District Director

Kevin is responsible for overseeing the staff at the district office and has previously served as the constituent services director for Congressman Gary Peters. He grew up in Troy and currently lives in Berkley with his wife Lisa and dog Izzy. Kevin and Lisa are very excited for the arrival of their son, Parker, who is due in April.

 

Steve James, Constituent Services Representative

Steve grew up in Canton, MI but has lived all over the state. He graduated from Michigan State with a degree in political science.
