The San Gabriel Valley has a vibrant business community, with 69,021 small and medium-sized business establishments forming a strong foundation for the Valley’s business community, according to the San Gabriel Valley Economic Partnership. Many Fortune 500 Companies have major offices or facilities in the 32nd Congressional District, including Edison International, headquartered in Rosemead; the Miller Brewing Company plant in Irwindale; and many others. Other major companies with facilities in the District include Huy Fong Foods, makers of the famous Siracha Hot Sauce, located in Irwindale; Cathay Bank in El Monte; Ready-Pac Produce in Irwindale; and Kaiser Permanente.

The wholesale sector is one of the San Gabriel Valley’s biggest industries, representing 24 percent of all Valley businesses in 2010. A San Gabriel Valley Foreign Trade Zone has been established, to help the Valley’s diverse, immigrant business community to more effectively participate in international trade.

Retail sales in the San Gabriel Valley have reached over $13 billion annually in 2010.
