National Association of Manufacturers – Manufacturing Legislative Excellence (95% score)

NAM presents this award to legislators who consistently support pro-growth and pro-jobs agenda.  Rep. Culberson received an outstanding 95% rating for his voting record in the 112th Congress.

International Foodservice Distributors Association – The Thomas Jefferson Award

The IFDA Thomas Jefferson Awards are presented to Members of Congress who have demonstrated their commitment to free enterprise by their voting records on issues such as taxes, free trade, labor policy, and other economic matters. Award recipients have a 70 percent or better voting record on specific votes deemed important to the industry.

National Federation of Independent Business – Guardian of Small Business Award 2011 & 2012

The Guardian of Small Business Award is NFIB’s highest honor, reserved for lawmakers who demonstrate uncommon leadership and consistency in supporting the small business agenda.

60 Plus Association – Guardian of Seniors’ Rights Award

Founded in 1992, the 60 Plus Association is a non-partisan seniors advocacy group with a free enterprise, less government, less taxes approach to seniors issues. 60 Plus has set ending the federal estate tax and saving Social Security for the young as its top priorities.  60 Plus is often viewed as the conservative alternative to the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP).

American Conservative Union – ACU Ratings Award for 2011

This award is only given out to those members of the House and Senate who scored 80% or higher on a wide variety of issues of interest to grass-roots conservatives voted on during the first session of the 112th Congress.

The National Association of Community Health Centers - 2012 Distinguished Community Health Advocate Award

The National Association of Community Health Centers awarded Congressman John Culberson (TX-07) with its highest award – the 2012 Distinguished Community Health Advocate Award for his work in support of improved access to cost-effective and affordable health care at Health Centers in underserved communities nationwide.

US Chamber of Commerce – Spirit of Enterprise Award 2011

The US Chamber of Commerce’s prestigious “Spirit of Enterprise” award is given annually to members of Congress based on rankings it gives for key business votes outlined in its yearly publication, How They Voted. This is the 22nd year that the U.S. Chamber has formally honored the accomplishments of this select group of members of Congress.

National Taxpayers Union – Taxpayers’ Friend Award

The “Taxpayers’ Friend Award”  is awarded in recognition of consistent votes in favor of reducing the burden on America’s taxpayers.

Numbers USA – A- Rating

All Members are scored according to how they have used immigration to force importation of foreign workers, U.S. population growth, sprawl and congestion.

111th Congress, 2009-2010

Family Research Council – True Blue Award

The True Blue award honors Members of Congress who have exhibited extraordinary leadership and commitment to the defense of family, faith, and freedom, according to the two groups’ new scorecard covering House and Senate votes in the first session of the 110th Congress. Recipients of the award are those who have voted consistently for pro-family issues and have stood courageously in Congress in defense of life.

Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc.  – Champion of the Merit Shop

The “Champion of the Merit Shop” award is presented to Members of Congress who have an 80 percent or better voting record on the association’s priority issues in the 111th Congress.

U.S. English, Inc. – A for English Award

“A in English” awards are presented to members of Congress for their efforts to promote English as the unifying language of the United States.
