Bordallo Joins Colleagues, Congressional Staff in Participating in the Holiday Mail for Heroes Program

Congresswoman Madeleine Z. Bordallo today joined her colleagues and congressional staff in participating in the annual Red Cross Holiday Mail for Heroes program. The event, now in its sixth year, is an opportunity to sign holiday cards for servicemembers, veterans and their families.

The Red Cross collects cards between October and early December, and distributes them to military installations, veterans’ hospitals and other locations. To learn more about how to participate in the Holiday Mail for Heroes program, click here.

“I thank the Red Cross for hosting this annual event to express our gratitude and send warm holiday wishes to our veterans and active duty servicemembers who are currently in hospitals or serving overseas,” said Congresswoman Bordallo. “I have visited Iraq and Afghanistan many times, and met with our servicemembers from Guam. I know they appreciate the mail and care packages they get, and I encourage others to participate in the Holiday Mail for Heroes program. Our veterans and servicemembers have done so much for our country, and I wish them a happy holiday season and a new year filled with good fortune.”
