Our nation is facing a serious economic crisis that demands real, commonsense solutions. Most – if not all – members of Congress agree something must be done to stimulate the economy and bring us back to prosperity. Any legislation designed to revive and renew our economy should help American families and small businesses by preserving and creating more jobs in America.

As the father of an Army Blackhawk pilot, the husband of a retired Army nurse, and a 25-year veteran of the Marine Corps, John Kline considers it a personal priority to ensure government keeps its promises to our veterans. Since arriving in Washington in 2003, he has considered it one of his greatest duties in Congress to support our veterans of today and tomorrow.

Millions of Americans have been affected by this recession. Hardworking families continue to face home foreclosures and job loss at an alarming rate. During these challenging economic times, it is important for Congress to develop housing legislation that advances home ownership and strengthens the housing market without placing any additional burdens on American taxpayers.
