Thank you to the first responders from around the Portland Metro area who did a remarkable job after the tragic shooting at Clackamas Town Center yesterday. As we mourn the victims, we can take some comfort in our strong community spirit.

Exciting announcement from Governor John Kitzhaber this morning about a possible expansion of Nike that could bring 2900 construction jobs and 12,000 permanent jobs by 2020. I’m looking forward to learning more about this proposal to bring thousand of good jobs to Oregon.- The exposure of Oregon National Guard troops to toxic chemicals during their service in Iraq was appalling and inexcusable.
