Senator Conrad's Passport Information Page

If you are thinking of traveling abroad and will need a passport, apply early. Keep in mind that the new border crossing rules that took effect in 2009 require Americans to have passports when flying back from Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean.  While the lengthy delays many would-be travelers faced as a result of that change are largely a thing of the past, it can still take up to two months to receive your passport.

To check the status of your passport application, you should call the National Passport Center (NPC) at 1-877-487-2778. Or you can click here to check the status of your passport online.
