Conrad: U.S. Owes Military Veterans a Debt of Gratitude We Can Never Fully Repay
Washington -- U.S. Senator Kent Conrad released the following statement today in observance of Veterans Day.
"On Veterans Day 2012, North Dakotans and all Americans pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who answered our nation's call to defend our country as members of the U.S. military. Their bravery and sacrifice have kept our nation free.
"America stands as a shining example of freedom and democracy, and what they can accomplish, because of our principles and values, but also because brave men and women have stepped forward to defend freedom and democracy when they are under attack. Their sacrifices and those of their families have been, and continue to be, enormous. Today, a very grateful nation pauses to say a heartfelt "Thank you" and "God bless you."
