	Senator Conrad unveils his plan to convene an Energy Security Summit on March 22, at the Energy and Environmental Research Center at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks. The summit will bring together top energy strategists from across the United States and North Dakota to address how North Dakota can play a greater role in making the U.S. more energy independent. A former exhibitor at Marketplace for Entrepreneurs, Dean Kamen founded the FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) competition to stimulate young people's interest in science and technology. The program complements Senator Conrad's work with Marketplace for Kids and his efforts to encourage entrepreneurial education for North Dakota's youth.
