Coats Kicks Off “Pack the Pantry” Food Drive with The Children’s Museum to Support Ronald McDonald House of Indiana

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Senator Dan Coats (R-Ind.) this week kicked off a “Pack the Pantry” food drive with The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis to support the Ronald McDonald House of Indiana.

“This week, I ask Hoosiers to join me and The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis to help ‘Pack the Pantry’ for the Ronald McDonald House,” said Coats. “The ‘Pack the Pantry’ food drive will help ease the burden of many families as they focus on their child’s health and recovery.”

“There is no greater investment than the health of our children and anything we can do to help provide these much needed resources is an honor,” said Dr. Jeffrey H. Patchen, president and CEO, The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis. “Philanthropy is also a valuable lesson families can share with their children – everyone has the power to help others. The rewards from that kind of involvement are immeasurable.”

“We rely on the generosity of our community to keep our pantries full for the more than 1,400 families who stay with us every year,” said Beth Johnson, Executive Director of the Ronald McDonald House of Indiana. “We are grateful to Senator Dan Coats and The Children’s Museum for their support and for helping families during a very stressful time.”
