Washington, D.C. is one of the world's grandest cities. In addition to the U.S. Capitol, the White House, Supreme Court and government buildings, there are famous monuments, internationally recognized museums, and numerous other attractions to enjoy during your visit.
Sen. Corker's office can provide you with helpful information to make your stay memorable. You will find below details about Senator Corker's weekly constituent breakfast, Tennessee Tuesday, information about U.S. Capitol and White House tours, as well as a list of many other attractions in the nation's capital.

Tennessee Tuesday
When the Senate is in session, Senator Corker and Senator Alexander hold an informal breakfast on Tuesday mornings for Tennesseans visiting Washington.
U.S. Capitol Tours
The Capitol Visitor Center (CVC), located on the East front at First Street and East Capitol Street, NE (view map), is the new main entrance to the U.S. Capitol building and is open to visitors from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday except for Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day and on Inauguration Day. All public tours of the U.S. Capitol originate from the CVC and are available Monday through Saturday, 8:50 a.m. to 3:20 p.m. Tours need to be scheduled in advance either online through the Advance Reservation System or through the office of one of your Senators or your Representative.
Senator Corker’s staff conducts tours of the U.S. Capitol for Tennesseans at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. For security reasons, staff-led tours are for groups of fifteen or less. Please make all staff-led tour requests at least two weeks in advance using our tour request form. If you have further questions about your tour request, please contact Senator Corker’s office at 202-224-3344.
For groups larger than fifteen people or for tours on Saturdays, Senator Corker's office can schedule tours through the U.S. Capitol Guide Service. Guided group tours are offered Monday through Saturday. Please make all group requests three to four weeks in advance. Due to limited availability, please understand that we cannot accommodate all tour requests.
The galleries of the Senate and the House of Representatives are open to public view whenever either body is in session. The House of Representatives is open when the House is out of session, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Please request tickets for the galleries from Senator Corker’s office when you call about your visit to Washington.
All visitors to the Capitol are required to go through security screening. Please follow the link below to a list of prohibited items. Cameras, cell phones, and other digital devices are permitted.

White House Tours
Senator Corker’s office coordinates with the White House to schedule tours for Tennesseans.
The White House schedules tours Tuesday through Saturday, during morning hours, and accepts requests with at least 30 days notice and up to six months in advance. The White House operates on a first-come, first-served basis, so we recommend providing 4-6 months' advance notice for the best chance of securing a tour. For the White House, you may provide a specific date or range of dates when you would like to tour, but you may not request time of day. In other words, you must be prepared to come anytime on the day(s) you request. Unfortunately, we will not be able to accommodate requests received less than 30 days in advance of your visit.
The following information is required by the White House Visitors Office for every member of a group before a tour request can be placed: full legal name (first, middle, and last - as it appears on identification), gender, date of birth, social security number (or passport number and country of issuance for non-US citizens), city and state of current residence (or city and country of current residence if outside US), US citizenship (yes or no), and country of citizenship.
*Note: Due to high demand, constituents wishing to tour the White House during the month of March should place requests with Senator Corker’s office no later than September 1.

Message from the White House Visitor’s Office: On September 4, 2009 President Obama announced that visitor access records to the White House Complex will be made publicly available 90-120 days after the date of visit. This policy includes all guests touring the White House. Please be aware that your full name and the date of your visit will be part of the publicly released records. Your date of birth, Social Security Number and all other information provided will not be released.

National Zoo
Admission to 14 Smithsonian museums and the National Zoo in Washington, D.C., is free. The Smithsonian museums in Washington, D.C., are open every day of the year except December 25. World War II Memorial
