Social Justice The test of a society is how it treats its most vulnerable members. Throughout my career, I have worked to promote equality and to protect the civil rights of all Americans including those who historically have faced discrimination and disadvantages – women, people of color, the LGBT community and the poor. Through my service on the Judiciary Committee, which has jurisdiction over constitutional and civil rights as well as criminal law, I am focused on creating a society with justice for all.
