- I was very sad to learn of the passing of my friend, Senator Daniel Inouye of Hawaii. The embodiment of the Greatest Generation, Senator Inouye was an American hero. When we last spoke, he said we were brothers. Despite the politics, you could always go to Danny Inouye for guidance and assistance. He will be missed in the Senate. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and his wife, Irene.

The Administration's proposed Obamacare regulations deserve more consideration. More time for a comment period will allow states and stakeholders to try to prevent problems that could harm the quality of care and our economy.- According to the Washington Post, it isn't a death tax, it is a "posthumous federal levy on accumulated wealth." In Dodge City we call it highway robbery.
