Turner Honors America’s Heroes On Veterans Day

New York - Congressman Bob Turner (NY-09) today released the following statement honoring his fellow veterans on Veterans Day.

"Veterans Day is a unique opportunity to honor the sacrifice of the brave men and women who don our nation's uniform in defense of our country and the principles of democracy and human rights around the world. I have always been proud of my service, but feel a special sense of pride today having spent the last year fighting for veterans as a member of the House Committee on Veteran’s Affairs and through veteran’s casework in my district offices.  While we celebrate and recognize the service of our veterans every November 11th, we should also take the time to thank those who have risked their lives to protect our freedom every chance we get."
