Applying for Aid

Residents may apply for aid at DisasterAssistance.gov or by calling 1-800-621-FEMA (3362) or 1-800-462-7585 (TTY) or via mobile at m.fema.gov. It is necessary for those applying for FEMA aid to file a claim with their insurance companies in advance. Small business owners and residents can also visit the Small Business Association website to learn about disaster loans they may be eligible for. For information or to find a local Disaster Recovery Center, potential applicants can contact the SBA Customer Service Center at 1-800-659-2955 (TTY: 1-800-877-8339) or e-mail disastercustomerservice@sba.gov.

Constituents needing additional information are encouraged to contact Congressman Turner’s Queens office at (718) 426-5000 or his Washington D.C. office at (202) 225-6616.
