  • Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee

    The United States Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs has jurisdiction over matters related to: banks and banking, price controls, deposit insurance, export promotion and controls, federal monetary policy, financial aid to commerce and industry, issuance of redemption of notes, currency and coinage, public and private housing, urban development and mass transit, and government contracts.

  • Appropriations Committee

    The United States Senate Committee on Appropriations has jurisdiction over all discretionary spending legislation in the Senate. This committee provides members with an opportunity to provide hard-nosed oversight of spending.

  • Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs

    The United States Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, which has jurisdiction over the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and broad oversight authority over federal government agencies. In addition to overseeing DHS, the Committee investigates the efficiency of government operations, and the possible existence of fraud, waste, and improper expenditure of government funds. 

  • Veterans' Affairs Committee

    The United States Senate Committee on Veterans' Affairs has jurisdiction over compensation of veterans, life insurance issued by the Government due to military service, national cemeteries, pensions, and readjustment of service men and women to civil life.

  • Small Business and Entrepreneurship Committee
