Thank you for contacting Sen. Moran to inquire about the U.S. Service Academies. He is pleased to consider your application for possible nomination to a Service Academy for the class entering in the summer of 2013. Sen. Moran considers making appointments to the Service Academies one of his most privileged responsibilities as a U.S. Senator.

Eligible applicants must be:

  • unmarried citizens of the United States with no dependents and;
  • at least 17 years old but not past their 23rd birthday on the first of July of the year they wish to be admitted and;
  • a resident of Kansas. You, or your parents, must claim Kansas as your primary state of residence.

You may download the application by clicking on the PDF file at the bottom of this page or you can request an application packet be sent to you by completing the form below. Also please contact the Service Academies you are interested in to request an application by clicking on the appropriate link at the bottom of the page.  All documents must be received by Sen. Moran's Olathe office by October 1, 2012.  All qualified applicants will be required to appear before Sen. Moran's Academy Screening Board. You will be notified of the date of this appearance sometime after October 1st.
