District Information
The First District of South Carolina is comprised of all of Horry County and portions of Berkeley, Charleston, Dorchesterand Georgetown counties. It stretches along South Carolina's coast from the North Carolina border to the southern end of Charleston County.
Coastal South Carolina is known for its history, environment, wildlife, recreational opportunities restaurants, and of course its southern hospitality. While tourism is the number one industry throughout the district, the port, military, agriculture and medical communities are all vital parts of the economy as well.
