  1. On December 7, 1941, Pearl Harbor was attacked. 71 years later, let’s take a moment to remember and honor those men and women who defended our freedoms. We honor their sacrifice and their service. They shall forever live in America’s memory.

    •  Mr. Reichert, Its too bad you may not be able to make it home for Christmas. This fiscal cliff mess is your mess not ours. You need to clean it up before this congress finishes its term. I have to admit I'm a bit surprised you guys in DC haven't resolved this yet. I don't think the American people could have been clearer in what they wanted. We want higher tax rates, fair taxes so people like Mitt Romney and Warren Buffet pay their share, we want to cut spending especially defense. We want investments in our future. Perhaps if you and your colleagues read the following recent poll results, you would see the only people not getting it is congress. Remember, its "We the people..." not "We the political parties...". Time to put the people first.

Please vote to represent the middle class, not just the rich. Thank you. Too bad, nobody wants to investigate major corruption in the Bellevue School District. You'd think someone would care when Ricardo Cruz has wasted over half a million in taxpayer dollars.

Dave: I fear that the $800 billion in revenue will include provisions that will limit investment - as in removing the ability to deduct the cost of intangible costs in development of business - particularly in the oil exploration industry, as well as the ability to expense capital investments in the year incurred - another killer of oil and gas exploration that mainly affect the small investors that form the backbone of the current oil and gas resurgence. That said, I wholeheartedly support cuts in programs that have a negative economic effect even as they "sound good" to particular constituancies - for example ethanol - costs more to produce than it generates in benefits as it deteriorates the cars it is supposed to help and their owners by providing negative mileage benefits. If ever there was a program that should go this is it!! There are a lot more!!! Thankx for listening. Michael C. Muma

Please support Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-IL) an amendment that would permit federally-funded abortions on any military facilities in the case of rape or incest with a yes vote for passage. It is beyond my comprehension that a women in our military would not be given all the help and consideration possible to make her situation easier. Let me remind you congressman that RAPE IS RAPE! It is murder of the soul and spirit and is unthinkable that the military we touts honor would not be front and center to stop this behavior in the military. Men need to be taught NO IS NO! and to keep their privates in their fatigues and zipped up. Sir I am watching as are women across this nation, women have the freedom of choice and any congressman or senator who tries to diminish that right will be face with a fierce fight. Support the rights of women in our armed services and in our nation. Help to pass the amendment in the congress!

    •  Mr. Reichert, It seems like your constituents have been pretty clear that they want a solution to the fiscal cliff that involves both an increase in tax rates and cuts to spending. Just in case that isn't enough, you may want to review these poll results. It seems clear that all of America wants increases in the marginal tax rates, they expect corporations like GE, Honeywell, and Boeing to pay taxes, and they want spending cuts. It seems like all America is ready for the adult conversation that congress keeps talking about, but never doing. Please, please start putting America and its citizens first as opposed to your party and the lobbyist that support you.
