Ensuring educational opportunities for America’s children is a top priority. As the father of four children, I understand the need for a strong and well-balanced public educational system to educate our nation’s future leaders. We must ensure that every student is afforded the opportunity to achieve his or her own educational goals, that parental rights are protected, and that taxpayer dollars are used responsibly.
I have the opportunity each month to meet with middle and high school students in our schools, and to speak with students from Oklahoma attending leadership conferences in Washington D.C. These students are bright, accomplished and have promising futures, and the education we provide in our great state must complement and encourage their development. I am working to ensure that the programs we provide on both the elementary, secondary and higher education levels are both efficient and effective.
