Presidential Inauguration Tickets

The Idaho congressional delegation is joining together for inauguration ticket distribution to maximize accessibility to the President inauguration for Idahoans. For a Presidential inauguration ceremony, members of Congress are provided with a limited number of tickets to the official inauguration ceremony. Each member of the Idaho delegation won't know the exact number of tickets available until the Presidential Inaugural Committee provides us with that information closer to the event.

Ticket requests will only be accepted through 5 p.m. Mountain time, Wednesday, November 21, 2012. Any requests made after that deadline will place you on a waiting list. This deadline has been set to allow Idahoans who are attending the Inauguration enough planning time for travel and accommodation arrangements to be made. Making a request is not a guarantee that you will receive tickets.

Tickets to the inauguration ceremony are ONLY for the ceremony and cannot be used for the Inaugural Parade, inaugural ball or other inaugural events. Tickets are not necessary to view the inauguration ceremony; the tickets simply allow access to specific sections of the Capitol Grounds. There will be large sections of the National Mall that will be accessible to the general public; typically they have jumbo viewing screens in these areas.

The Idaho congressional delegation will make every effort to distribute the tickets made available to Idahoans on a "first-come, first-served" basis to constituents. Idahoans will be given priority in ticket requests. However, due to demand and the limited number of tickets to the event, each request will be limited to four. Handicapped access is provided in each section of tickets; however, there are no tickets specifically marked as handicapped-accessible.

Tickets to the event are REQUIRED for every person, including children and infants. Full names and ages must be provided on the request form. The vast majority of tickets are standing-room only. Please provide an email address that is functional and regularly checked as this will be the primary method of communication with you regarding ticket disposition.

Finally, do not submit duplicate requests. Only one form submission is required. Multiple submissions will not improve your chances for tickets and may result in difficulty in fulfilling your request.
