Tips for Visiting Capitol Hill:

  • House and Senate Galleries - When Congress is in session, visitors are allowed to view live debate in the House and Senate Galleries from 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM from Monday through Friday. To obtain passes to the Galleries, simply visit my Washington office located at 404 Cannon House Office Building.
*Please note that children must be at least six years of age to be admitted to the Senate Gallery. Children under the age of ten are allowed into the House Gallery if accompanied by an adult .
  • Meals - Cafeterias are located throughout the Capitol complex in the Capitol Visitor Center, Longworth House Office Building, Rayburn House Office Building, Dirksen Senate Office Building, and the James Madison Memorial Annex to the Library of Congress.
  • Transportation - Since parking is extremely limited in Washington, taxis, buses, and the Metrorail subway are the easiest forms of transportation to and from Capitol Hill.

The Capitol South Metro station is the closest station to our office. For additional details on the Washington Area Metropolitan Transit Authority (METRO), please visit: http://www.wmata.com/.
