Committees and Caucuses

Congressman Palazzo, a Persian Gulf War veteran, serves as a member of the Armed Service committee as well as the Science and Technology committee. 

The House Armed Services committee is responsible for authorizing funding for and overseeing the Department of Defense. Congressman Palazzo also serves on the Sea Power and Projection Forces and the Readiness Subcommittees.

The Science and Technology committee has jurisdiction over NASA, marine research, as well as various science education initiatives. As a freshman Member of Congress, Congressman Palazzo was appointed as Chairman of the Subcommittee on Space and Aeronautics (NASA).

In addition, Steven is a member of the Congressional Sportsmen's Caucus, CPA Caucus, Army Caucus, National Guard Caucus, Ship Building Caucus, UAV Caucus, Tourism Caucus, Tea Party Caucus, and the Gulf Coast Caucus.
