PEARCE WELCOMES NATIONAL GUARD TROOPS HOME

Las Cruces, New Mexico (December 7, 2012) – Today, U.S. Congressman Steve Pearce issued the following statement welcoming members of the New Mexico National Guard back to New Mexico.  Pearce visited the unit overseas in the Sinai last month over Veterans Day weekend, carrying with him a list of ready-to-hire jobs for the troops’ return home.

“I am overjoyed to welcome this unit back to New Mexico,” said Pearce.  “These brave men and women and their families have sacrificed for the cause of freedom, and I thank them—and all our members of the armed forces—for their selfless and faithful service to our country.   My office will continue to support them in their transition home in any way we can.”

Congressman Pearce is scheduled to personally welcome the troops home in Las Cruces this weekend at 3:00 pm on December 8, at the Las Cruces Armory.
