Tele-Town Hall Polls

I held a Tele-Town Hall meeting with constituents from New Mexico's Second Congressional District on Tuesday, June 26th. We discussed job creation, the forest fires, immigration, taxes and healthcare, among other issues important to New Mexicans.

It was a very successful meeting, and gave me a chance to connect with constituents. We also offered poll questions during the course of the meeting. The questions and results are below.

FOREST: The horrific and destructive fires currently burning in New Mexico raise a number of questions regarding fire management and forestry services.  What approach to forest fire management do you support:   

A) 86% - Regular logging and brush management

B) 7% - Occasional brush management with no logging

C) 4% - NO brush management or logging at all

D) 3% - UNDECIDED

IMMIGRATION: Do you support President Obama’s decision to no longer enforce federal immigration laws allowing illegal immigrants to stay in the United State?

A) 73% - NO

B) 15% - YES

HEALTHCARE: Do you believe the Supreme Court should rule the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, more commonly known as OBAMACARE, unconstitutional?

A) 56% - YES – 56%

B) 29% - NO
