REP. ROYBAL-ALLARD URGES RESOLUTION FOR LABOR STRIKE AT PORTS

Today, Representative Lucille Roybal-Allard joined with Representatives Linda Sanchez and Janice Hahn in sending a letter to the Local 63-Office Clerical Unit and the Harbor Employers Association urging them to resolve the ongoing strike at the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach as quickly as possible:
I implore Local 63 and the Harbor Employers Association to come back to the table and resolve this situation quickly and fairly. The hardworking members of the Office Clerical Unit deserve good wages and working conditions, and this can only be achieved through fair negotiations. The ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach are critical to our local economy and impact our national economy as well. It is imperative for everyone involved that we resolve this situation as quickly as possible.
