The 23rd Congressional District of New York spans more than 14,739 square miles (23,720 square kilometers), making it one of the largest districts east of the Mississippi River and the 54th largest in the country. It comprises all or part of the following 11 counties: Clinton, Essex (part), Franklin, Fulton (part), Hamilton, Jefferson, Lewis, Oneida (part), Oswego, Madison and St. Lawrence.
