Committees

House Armed Services Committee — The Armed Services Committee is responsible for policy related to defense policy generally; ongoing military operations; the organization and reform of the Department of Defense and Department of Energy; counter-drug programs; acquisition and industrial base policy; technology transfer and export controls; joint interoperability; the Cooperative Threat Reduction program; Department of Energy nonproliferation programs; and detainee affairs and policy. I currently serve on the following subcommittees:

 

House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence — The Intelligence Committee is charged with the oversight of the United States Intelligence Community, which includes the intelligence and intelligence related activities of 17 elements of the US Government, and the Military Intelligence Program. I currently serve on the following subcomittee:

What is a Caucus?

A caucus is an organization of Members of Congress interested in a particular issue or set of issues. Caucuses sponsor educational activities, such as briefings on timely topics or pending legislation, and sometimes encourage legislative action that will advance their members' common goals.
