- The President's tax argument is a red herring. We have a spending problem, not a tax problem. The House is serious about a balanced approach, and has made several offers to start negotiations. We stand ready to work for all Americans, and are ready for the Senate and the President to do the same.
- Childhood health and nutrition is an important issue. My recent letter to Secretary Vilsack asks him to bring control of school lunch & breakfast programs back to the state, so that we can ensure our kids have the right portion sizes, and are healthy and hunger-free.
- I had a great meeting today with the Missouri Trucking Association. Always a pleasure to have Missourians visit here in DC!
