Internships
My office offers internship opportunities in my Washington, DC and Joliet District office, which provides students a first-hand opportunity to learn about the legislative process in Washington and the operations of a constituent oriented district office.
While DC interns’ responsibilities will vary, they can expect to assist in day-to-day activities such as answering phones, writing letters, attending legislative hearings, researching issues and leading constituent tours of the Capitol. In addition to day-to-day activities, District interns will learn about constituent casework and assist in District-based projects and events.
To apply for an internship, please submit your resume, cover letter (with start date), and two references to internIL11@gmail.com. Please identity in the subject line whether you are applying for an internship in my DC or District office.
