Yellow Ribbon Campaign Kickoff : Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee will be kicking off Yellow Ribbon Campaign for Houston to Welcome the Troops Home. This campaign will symbolize our respect and appreciation to all our troops by displaying yellow ribbons throughout our communities and having every school marquee display signage entitled “Welcome Home Troops – A Job Well Done.” Your participation in our kick-off campaign is vital and we look forward to your involvement. Houston should lead the nation on welcoming home our brave troops as well as thanking their families
Health Screening and Health Services Fair Congresswoman Jackson Lee is working to bring together a dynamic group of health professionals from various disciplines and backgrounds to encourage members of the Houston community to live healthier lives. The event will take place on Saturday, October 13th, at the George R. Brown Convention Center from 11am – 4pm in Houston, Texas. There will be a variety of services provided to Houstonians from immunizations, TB tests, to HIV/STD screening.
