While my office can only assist in requesting specific tours we hope you visit many attractions during your trip to Washington, D.C. Although we cannot assist in arranging the following tours, we hope this information is useful and you are able to experience as many as possible. In addition to public tours of federal agencies, there are a variety of monuments and memorials located in Washington, D.C. Admission to all memorials and monuments is free and provide an exceptional way to learn more about the history of the United States.

Department of State 
Tour includes the Entrance Hall, Transition Room, Gallery, John Quincy Adams State Drawing Room, Thomas Jefferson State Reception Room, and the Benjamin Franklin State Dining Room. The exquisitely detailed architectural highlights serve as our country's main stage of international diplomacy.

Department of the Treasury 
Tour highlights are the Salmon Chase and Andrew Johnson Suites, the newly restored West dome and lobby, and the Cash Room.

The National Archives 
Features the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Constitution and other national treasures.

Arlington National Cemetery 
Highlights include the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the Amphitheater, the Curtis-Lee Mansion, and the graves of Presidents John F. Kennedy and William Howard Taft.

Botanic Gardens 
Highlights include the Conservatory and two acres of surrounding exterior grounds, the outdoor display gardens in Frederic Auguste Bartholdi Park, and the Administration Building.

National Zoo 
Part of the Smithsonian Institution, the National Zoo is a 163-acre zoological park set amid Rock Creek Park in the heart of Washington. It is home to 2,000 individual animals of nearly 400 different species.

Ford’s Theater and Lincoln Museum 
Tribute to President Lincoln’s love of the arts. Museum includes the clothes Abraham Lincoln wore on the night of his assassination.

The Smithsonian Institute 
The Smithsonian is a collection of 14 museums and sites in the Washington, DC area. Admission to all museums is free.
