PNNL The Pacific Northwest National Laboratory is a world-class research facility focused on areas like energy, homeland security and environmental sciences. Whether it’s ensuring that appropriate contracts are in place, promoting the development of technologies that can spin off and create new industries and jobs in our community, getting the Department of Energy to build the new lab space needed to keep scientists on the job as Hanford’s 300 Area is cleaned up and demolished or backing key PNNL missions – supporting this facility has long been a priority. The Pacific Northwest National Laboratory is a part of the reason why our region is a leader when it comes to clean energy, and the Lab’s role in our community will become even more important as Hanford cleanup heads towards completion and our economy diversifies.
