Congressman Flake supports an energy policy that, through free-market growth and innovation, advances renewable sources, utilizes nuclear power generation and drilling on land and offshore, and promotes the exploration and development of oil shale.
 
Congressman Flake believes that the federal government’s job is not to regulate our energy industry by attempting to pick winners and losers. Instead, Congress must work to lift the regulatory burdens that have hindered the growth and solvency of this industry and let the free market reduce costs and improve the efficiency of energy sources.
