The Montford Marines were the first African Americans to enter the Corps from 1942 to 1949 at Montford Pt. Camp in New River, North Carolina. Among the honored veterans include Virgin Islands resident Jon Steward.

Delegate Donna ChristensenCongresswoman Donna M. Christensen proudly serves in the 112th Congress, representing the people of the U.S. Virgin Islands.  In her capacity as Delegate to Congress Rep. Christensen is a Legislator, Constituent Advocate, and Public Policy Advocate.  She helps to obtain federal funding, bring new businesses to the Virgin Islands, represents the Territory at Ceremonial Events, informs and advises the Virgin Islands Public on Federal Issues, and perhaps most importantly, is the voice and conscience of St. Croix, St. Thomas, St. John and Water Island here in the Nation’s Capitol.   Read More
