U.S. Rep. Yvette D. Clarke's Statement on Rosh Hashanah

Washington, Sep 17 - BROOKLYN, NY – Today, Representative Yvette D. Clarke released the following statement in recognition of Rosh Hashanah:

“L’Shanah Tovah to everyone celebrating Rosh Hashanah or the Jewish New Year. Rosh Hashanah is an opportunity for us to reflect on the previous year, to thank God for our blessings, and to prepare for the future," stated Representative Clarke.

"It is an honor to represent one of the most diverse Congressional districts in the nation where each community has contributed greatly to the cultural diversity in Brooklyn.

“The contributions of Jewish Americans have been crucial to the development of our civil society in the United States and particularly in Brooklyn. As we celebrate Rosh Hashanah, we should remember the hard work and sacrifice of those people whose efforts created the communities we have today.

“The beginning of a new year symbolizes hope and change. I look forward to the many milestones we will mark on this journey,” concluded Representative Clarke.
