Coble to honor Randolph couple for adopting
Washington,
Dec 6 -
(Washington, DC)---A Randolph County couple, who recently adopted a newborn baby, will be honored with a national award by their congressman on Friday. U.S. Rep. Howard Coble will present the young couple with the coveted Congressional Angels in Adoption Award.
On June 8, Brett and Jessica Crisp, who live in Randleman, welcomed Isaac Taylor Crisp into the world, alongside Isaac’s birth mother. The Crisps worked with Bethany Christian Services’ Domestic Adoption Program for more than a year to adopt Isaac.
Congressman Coble will present the Crisps with the Angels in Adoption Award in his Asheboro office tomorrow at 4:30 p.m. The office is located at 222 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro.
Sponsored by the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute, the Angels in Adoption program provides members of Congress with the opportunity to recognize an individual, couple or organization from their districts who have made an exceptional contribution on behalf of children in need of a home.
“The Angels in Adoption Program gives members of Congress a special look at adoption-related work taking place throughout their congressional districts,” Rep. Coble noted, “It also draws special media attention to the tremendous impact adoption makes in the life of a child. I am thrilled to honor the Crisp family with the Angels in Adoption award and congratulate them on being proud new parents of a beautiful baby boy.”
