Student Center
North Dakota’s young people are the best and brightest in our nation, and I am proud to represent them in the Senate. The resources below will enhance their education and help to prepare them for their future. Students from kindergarten through college will find information about civics and government, as well as opportunities for internship and scholarship programs. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact my office.

For High School Students
Each year, two North Dakota students are chosen to serve as delegates in the U.S. Senate Youth Program. This program gives North Dakota high school students a front-row seat to see democracy in action. Click for more information on the U.S. Senate Youth Program.
The Senate Page Program brings high school juniors to Washington to serve in the U.S. Congress. Pages are responsible for preparing the Senate chamber, delivering materials around the Capitol, and helping with the legislative process. During the school year, pages attend classes in the morning at the U.S. Senate Page School. Click for more information on the page program.
For College Students
Each trimester, North Dakota college students are selected to intern in each of my Senate offices, where they have the opportunity to learn more about the federal government, legislative process, and the issues impacting our state and country. Click to learn more about the internship program.
It is an honor to nominate outstanding North Dakotans for admission to the U.S. Naval Academy, U.S. Air Force Academy, Merchant Marine Academy and West Point. Click to learn more about service academy nominations.
