Welcome Message

John and MikeyThank you for visiting my Senate web site.

We made tremendous progress over the past 10 years in the North Dakota Governor's office, and we are committed to taking the same approach in the United States Senate. Our state continues to create jobs and opportunity for our people; expand and diversify our economy; build a strong financial foundation; and cut taxes. In fact, we reduced taxes by more than $500 million, even as we invested in priorities like education, healthcare, strong law enforcement, and quality infrastructure. And North Dakota is poised for additional tax cuts this year owing to our common-sense approach to government and strong focus on economic development and job creation.

As your Senator, I will apply that same approach to the Senate, an approach that empowers individuals and small businesses throughout our country. In North Dakota, we proved that if we work hard and build the right kind of legal, tax and regulatory climate, we can create jobs, balance our budget, and develop the resources we need to create a better and brighter future for our children and ourselves.
