  1. Today we remember the terrible tragedy our nation experienced at Pearl Harbor seventy-one years ago, and we mourn those who were lost. But we also remember how, in the face of such a challenge, our nation came together with a common purpose. The years that followed were a time of unity and shared sacrifice for the Greatest Generation. Some went to war, some went to work for the war effort, but all gave of themselves for the sake of our nation and the freedom we enjoy today. Their efforts serve as an inspiration for all of us as we work to build a secure future for our nation.

Senate vote tally on whether or not our military children deserve autism treatments... Senator David Vitter, Senator Roy Blunt, Thad Cochran, Senator Roger Wicker, Senator Richard Burr, Senator John Hoeven, U.S. Senator Mike Johanns, Ben Nelson, Rob Portman, and others, did NOT think our nation's bravest children deserve to receive the medical community's best practice standard of care. And worse, they voted against Wounded Warriors gaining access to the care their children with autism need. Shameful. MANY THANKS to Joseph Lieberman for saying YES to our military families! http://cmkaa.org/2012/12/11/how-they-voted/

Monsanto is the company who sued a Candadian farmer who had the misfortune to have his land invaded by one of Monsanto's GM crops. They are about to receive immunity from having to comply with Federal Law through HR733. This is an outrage and should be stopped. I want GMO labeling.

The Monsanto Rider (HR 733 that allows Monsanto immunity from Federal law). Is opposed by me, and by most people I have talked with. As your employer I ask that you see this rider be gone, I ask that you realize we should not have to beg to know what we are feeding our babies. In fact research more on our food supply and our rights to know what we eat. Now go back to work my colleage and employee...carry on...as I go back to work to make payroll. And have a happy day.

    • Please support the Ried/Kyl senate version of Hr2366 (or any other bill) that gives us the personal freedom to play safe, regulated, job producing, revenue generating online poker. We need national regulation or the states will go on out of control. Thank you.

bes is a good example of how we can work together to help the tribes share in America’s economic growth. The NAEI-Chamber partnership can help to do the same thing in Washington and across the nation.

  7. Today’s groundbreaking ceremony is another important milestone for John Deere’s continued presence in North Dakota. This company has long stood on the cutting edge, and we are grateful for their growing presence in North Dakota, and we remain committed to helping foster a business climate that will enable John Deere to continue growing, innovating and creating more good jobs.
  8. Today, as people from across our great state and nation join together with family, friends and loved ones to celebrate Thanksgiving Day, it is fitting that we pause and offer thanks for our many blessings. We remain especially grateful for the resilience and character of the American people and recall the spirit and strength of the Pilgrims and Native Americans who celebrated the first Thanksgiving in 1621. We pray that these same values will continue to guide and inspire our great nation, and we offer our thanks to God and our forebears for all of the blessings we celebrate today. Happy Thanksgiving to all.
  9. The Keystone XL pipeline represents not only thousands of jobs and growth for the nation’s economy, but also a big step toward American energy independence. We can become energy independent in America within five to seven years, but we must commit to moving forward with important projects like the Keystone XL pipeline.
