Book Donations

Note: Fields marked with an * are required.

Senator Murkowski is again soliciting requests for book donations through the Library of Congress. The joy of reading, once found, is never lost. Finding adventure, inspiration, and even friends within the pages of a book is one of the most wonderful experiences one can have, whether as a child or an adult. For this reason, Senator Murkowski has, since 2009, donated more than 6,000 new and gently used books to schools, libraries, and other non-profit agencies across Alaska through the Library of Congress's Surplus Book Program. These donations have included classic literature, young children's storybooks, teen fiction, biographies, and  non-fiction books on a variety of topics. Where appropriate, Senator Murkowski is also able to donate fiction and non-fiction books for adult readers. She has enjoyed knowing that the positive impact of high quality literature is reaching children and adults who might not otherwise have an opportunity to access many books in their community.

If your classroom, school, early childhood education program, library, or literacy program needs books, please submit the form below.
