Internships

An internship in the office of U.S. Senator Christopher A. Coons is an excellent way to learn firsthand about the American system of government. Washington, D.C. Program

Interns in Washington, D.C. will interact with me, my staff and Delaware constituents on a daily basis. They receive an inside look at the legislative process by attending hearings, and with the full access to the Library of Congress and Congressional Research Services, performing research on a wide variety of legislative issues. They also gain valuable experience by monitoring media outlets for daily developments, preparing briefing books, assisting with U.S. Capitol tours for constituent groups and providing general office support, all while gaining a lasting and valuable experience.
