Service Academy Nominations
Senator Webb can nominate Virginians to be candidates to the U.S. Military Academy
One of the greatest honors that I have as a member of Congress is the opportunity to nominate excellent young Virginians as candidates to the U.S. Military Academy, U.S. Naval Academy, U.S. Air Force Academy, and U.S.  Merchant Marine Academy. To make this process open to as many young people as possible, I have established procedures that ensure a fair and objective assessment while producing the best-qualified candidates for the academies.

In order to be eligible for nomination, students must be at least 17 years old but not older than 22 years old (as of July 1 of the year of admission); they must be legal citizens of the U.S. as of November 1 of the application year; they must be unmarried with no legal obligations to support children or other dependents; and they must be legal residents of the Commonwealth of Virginia. If you meet these requirements, I welcome your application.

It is essential that you follow all of the steps in the application process in order to receive full consideration for nomination to a Service Academy.

Applications for nomination to the Summer 2013 classes are now being accepted. Applications must be received in Senator Webb's Falls Church, VA office by 5 P.M. on October 1, 2012.
