Throughout my tenure in Washington, I have always enjoyed hearing from people across our great state – your input has been an invaluable resource as I seek to understand the impact that policy decisions in Washington will have on Mainers, enabling me to better represent you as your Senator. However, as you may be aware, this is my final term in office and as of January 3, 2012, I will no longer be a member of the United States Senate.
I remain very much interested in hearing from Maine constituents through my final day in office and as the Senate considers important work in the lame duck session. However, I wanted you to be aware that it is unlikely that I will be able to respond to every comment received before my office closes.
