  • The United States Senate
    The United States Senate makes up half of the Legislative Branch of the United States government. Two senators from each state work in three office buildings to the north of the United States Capitol, where the Senate meets to conduct official business.
  • The United States House of Representative
    The United States House of Representatives comprises half of the Legislative Branch of the government. The current speaker of the House is Nancy Pelosi, who presides over the House of Representatives in their chambers in the United States Capitol. There are three office buildings for Congressmen and their staff, located to the south of the Capitol.
  • The Library of Congress
    The Library of Congress is the nation's oldest federal cultural institution and serves as the research arm of Congress. It is also the largest library in the world, with millions of books, recordings, photographs, maps and manuscripts in its collections.
  • The White House
    The White House is the home of the President and First Lady, and to the Executive Branch of the United States Government. First occupied in 1800, every sucessive President has called the White House home.
  • The Supreme Court
    The Supreme Court Building was built in 1935 and is home to the Judicial Branch of the United States Government, specifically the nine Supreme Court Justices.
