End Big Oil Subsidies

Stop Taxpayer Oil Payouts

May 24th, 2012 marks the 2nd anniversary of Congress' failure to pass a bill to end billions of dollars in taxpayer giveaways to the Big 5 oil companies – companies that made $137 billion in profits last year on the backs of American drivers.

Every day of inaction matters.

While Americans are paying nearly $4.00 for a gallon of gas, the Big 5 oil companies are raking in more than $76.00 a second in wasteful taxpayer subsidies. If Congress fails to act, by 2020, American taxpayers will have contributed $24 billion to line the pockets of Big 5 Oil.

Twice, a majority of Senators voted to end these handouts and twice pro-Big Oil members have stepped in and saved them.

It’s time to STOP the insanity and take action.
