Committee on Appropriations

Chairman

The U.S. Senate Committee on Appropriations is a standing committee of the United States Senate.  It has jurisdiction over all discretionary spending legislation in the Senate.  The Senate Appropriations Committee is the largest committee in the U.S. Senate, consisting of 30 members.  

Subcommittee on Defense

Chairman

The U.S. Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Defense is one of the twelve subcommittees of the U.S. Senate Committee on Appropriations.  The Defense Subcommittee oversees military defense spending, which is the largest individual component of federal discretionary spending.
 

Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation

Member

The Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation is a standing committee of the United States Senate in charge of all senate matters related to the following subjects:  Coast Guard, coastal zone management, communications, highway safety, inland waterways, interstate commerce, marine and ocean navigation, safety, and transportation, marine fisheries, merchant marine and navigation, nonmilitary aeronautical and space sciences, oceans, weather, and atmospheric activities, the Panama Canal and other interoceanic canals, regulation of consumer products and services, including testing related to toxic substances, other than pesticides, and except for credit, financial services, and housing, regulation of interstate common carriers, including railroads, buses, trucks, vessels, pipelines, and civil aviation, science, engineering, and technology research and development and policy, sports, standards and measurement, transportation, and transportation and commerce aspects of continental shelf lands.  It also studies and reviews matters relating to science and technology, oceans policy, transportation, communications, and consumer affairs, and reports on those findings. 

Committee on Indian Affairs

The Senate Committee on Indian Affairs is a standing committee of the United States Senate charged with oversight in matters related to the American Indian, Native Hawaiian, and Alaska Native peoples.

Committee on Rules and Administration

Member

The Senate Committee on Rules and Administration (also called the Senate Rules Committee) is responsible for the rules of the United States Senate, with administration of congressional buildings, and with credentials and qualifications of members of the Senate, including responsibility for dealing with contested elections. 

Joint Committee on Printing

Member

The Joint Committee on Printing is a joint committee of the United States Congress devoted to overseeing the functions of the Government Printing Office and general printing procedures of the federal government of the United States.
