Inauguration Ticket Requests

Thank you for your interest in attending the 57th Presidential Inauguration on January 21, 2013.

Swearing-in Ceremony

The President's swearing-in ceremony will take place on the West Front of the United States Capitol Building at 12:00 PM on Monday, January 21st. The area of the National Mall west of 4th Street NW is open to all visitors and will not require a ticket. For areas east of 4th Street, our office has a limited number of tickets available to distribute to interested North Carolinians. If you would like to apply for tickets, you will need to complete the form below.

In order for your request to be considered, the form must be completed before Monday, December 17th. You may request up to four tickets, although in order to accommodate as many North Carolinians as possible, if selected you may not receive the full number requested. You must be available to pick up your tickets in person at Senator Hagan's Washington, D.C. office on January 18, 19 or 20. You will be required to show photo identification at the time of pick-up.

Please be aware that demand for tickets is extremely high, and we will not be able to accommodate every request. Everyone who requests tickets will be notified during the week of December 17th whether or not our office is able to accommodate their request.

Tickets for the inauguration are free and may not be resold.

Additional information about the Inauguration can be found at the website or Facebook page of the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies.

Inaugural Parade

The afternoon after the Swearing-in Ceremony the President, Vice President, and their spouses will participate in a parade proceeding from the Capitol to the White House. Spectators will not require tickets to view the parade. All roads within the vicinity of the parade will be closed, so you may wish to make arrangements to use public transportation.

Inaugural Balls

There will be several official and unofficial balls and galas the night of the Inauguration. The Presidential Inaugural Committee will be responsible for distributing invitations to all official events while various state societies and other organizations will extend invitations to their events.
