In the wake of that tragedy, the brave men and women of our Armed Forces stood against tyranny and rose to defend freedom and democracy around the world. mpending fiscal cliff. The unemployment rate in Nevada is still far too high, and this uncertainty is crippling job creation at a time when far too many Americans are out of work, underemployed, or have simply given up looking. I have spoken with job creators across Nevada concerned about the effects of this fiscal cliff on their employees, which is why I have urged both Republicans and Democrats to come together to address the severe spending cuts and looming tax increases. The only way to build a better, stronger future is by working together to get our nation and Nevada moving in the right direction. http://1.usa.gov/SSMyJX

We will continue to work with the community and stand ready to respond to any needs that arise. I urge everyone in the area to exercise caution and take no risks. I remain confident in our first responders to react quickly and effectively to any problems, just as they have always done.
